Italian Professional Master Courses are post-graduate study courses aimed at scientific specialisation with a permanent and recurring nature and are intended for students as well as professionals who wish to retrain. This type of course provides professional, technical-operational, or organisational knowledge and skills.

Professional Master Courses can be first or second level.
To access first-level Professional Master Courses,  it is necessary to have at least a Bachelors degree; to access second-level Professional Master Courses it is necessary to have a Masters degree or a degree from a past Italian academic system.

Each Professional Master Course has a duration of at least one year, with variable starting dates and access procedures.
